The Garden Table is open! Bring your extra produce/flowers to donate and allow others to pick up your offering and leave a donation. Money collected will go to the Kennett Food Cupboard. Don’t forget to bring canned/boxed goods to donate each week as well! Thank you!
Save the date! Sept 19 is the Church Picnic at Bedsoles! Details to come! (note date change from last week’s notice!)
Bethany will reopen its nursery Sept 12 and every Sunday if needed this year by parents or grandparents. August will see the nursery cleaned and refurbished with needed equipment and supplies for babies and children so that young parents worshiping any Sunday might choose to use the nursery. The nursery will be staffed by two people (on call while at church on any Sunday morning), one of whom has been certified in CPR recently. The video hook up will be in place so that anyone staffing the nursery may also view worship in progress upstairs. Will you help the Elders (who are signing up for a Sunday this fall) by putting your name alongside the on-call Elder’s name on the clipboard in the narthex? If we have staff at the ready to man the nursery this fall, we can advertise that Bethany has a nursery and hopefully be more inviting to young families. Your support would be appreciated!
Can you help with Back to School Bookbags for the children and youth of LaIglesia Presbyteriana Hispana de Toughkenamon this month? There are 5 nametags on the poster left as they are in dire need of help. If you would like to help, choose to either 1) pick up a tag with a child’s name, grade and desired supplies on it from the School Bus poster in the Narthex, buy and fill the bookbag with the indicated items and return it and the nametag to the church by August 22 or 2) donate money labeled “Book Bag project” to the church and the committees will use this money to buy bookbags and supplies. Any choice of bookbag is fine. We appreciate your support!
